Gift Idea: Le Labo
Meet my fvorite candle: LE LABO'S Santal. If any of you have visited the Grammercy Park Hotel in NYC, you know it smells AMAZING- thanks to Le Labo. They have stores in NY and LA as well as inside Barneys department stores. If you don't live near any of those places, you can order from their website. Their candles make a great gift- they even print your name on it (or whoever you're giving the candle to's name). They have a bunch of different scents to choose from, but this smells kind of like a smokey fig- and it's the most similar to the Grammercy's signature scent. You're welcome ;)
Steal her look: Leighton Meester
Leighton Meester revealed her dark side in a little black dress and Louboutin leopard print booties last night at Butter in NYC. You can steal her look with this tiered crinkle dress from FOREVER 21 and these Type Z booties from ZAPPOS.

Andre Courreges is the master of space-age design. The Parisian designer became popular in the '60s for his futuristic, yet simple collection. I've always thought of his line as being really fun like Pucci or Missoni. Today, his pieces are incredibly collectible (below is a photo of the always amazing Rachel Zoe wearing one of his jackets).
Today, while I was out thrifting, I stumbled across a black Courreges bag, with his logo embossed on the front flap. Since I already have the white version, I felt like it was like the missing piece to the puzzle!
If you want either of these bags, you can email me at thefashioncurrent@gmail.com

Natalie Portman is possibly the most beautiful person ever...
I saw Brothers last night (awesome movie) and yes, she was very pretty, but seriously, she looks RIDICULOUS in this video from behind the scenes at her V Magazine photo shoot with Mario Testino. Kind of obsessed.
CANNOT wait...
SO excited for NINE, Rob Marshall's (CHICAGO) new movie starring Kate Hudson, Penelope Cruz, Fergie, Marion Cotillard, and Nicole Kidman.
Steal her look: Ashlee
Ashlee Simpson Wentz loves her J Brand skinny ankle jeans...Steal her look and opt for a less pricey pair by BDG. They're called the Ankle Grazer, and they're amazing. I live in them. Available at URBAN OUTFITTERS.
If only I had just a little more change in my pocket...
Steal her look: SJP
Sarah Jessica Parker looked STUNNING at the premiere of her new movie "Did You Hear About the Morgans" in a L'Wren Scott hot pink mini dress and floor length gothic coat. Personally, I am OBSESSED with velvet looks these days- especially for the holidays! Her coat reminded me of an insane black velvet vintage piece by Henri Bendel that I've been rocking a lot lately. If you want it on your body, you can reach me at thefashioncurrent@gmail.com

Who doesn't love Twiggy?
Who doesn't love Twiggy? As someone who loves vintage everything, I love vintage Twiggy. Her amazing 60's and 70's style is iconic. Her outfit in this photo captures the real-deal hippie look which, of course, led to today's boho movement that almost every Young Hollywood "it" girl is sporting to The Ivy and Mauro's. Yesterday, I came across an amazing Jean Muir brown suede coat from the 1970's- Photos coming soon!

Balmain
A little bit about myself...
So I guess I should start by telling you a little bit about myself. I live in LNA leggings, my Chloe ankle moto boots, and a big comfy sweater. I am fully obsessed with OPI's "You don't know Jacques"- so much so that I just bought a Chanel bag that matches. My style icons are the AMAZING Kate Moss, Rachel Zoe, and OF COURSE- the Olsen Twins! When is comes to hair, I feel- the more disheveled the better, with shoes- the higher and clunkier the better, and dresses- the shorter the better! So, welcome to The Fashion Current!
