The Museum Of Modern Art Film Benefit: A Tribute To Tim Burton

Fashion designer Zac Posen not only makes beautiful clothes, he also has some cajones. The NYT reports that last April, he went to the 100th anniversary celebration of Cartier where he was seated next to Harper's Bazaar Editor Glenda Bailey and he confronted her about the lack of support from the magazine! Supposedly (because he wasn't a paying advertiser), the only way they would feature his clothing is if he posed in a photo shoot about fashion designers and the characters of Sesame Street, in which he was to pose with a very similar looking Count. He declined. Word to the wise- nowadays in this crumbling economy, pay attention to who's being featured in what publications- chances are they're getting the spotlight because they're paying.
Lindsay Lohan is getting paid a lot of money to do an exclusive interview with The Insider where she talks about the clutter in her apartment. Look at this photo. Gross. What a mess literally and figuratively...

I just watched the Michael Jackson movie "This Is It" and it was amazing. His outfits and dance moves are unreal. I highly suggest you check it out if you haven't already. On a similar note, do you remember the video of the prisoners in the Philippines doing the Thriller dance from a little while back? Well, Sony sent some of Michael Jackson's choreographers down to help them out a little. Take a look...

The 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards - Show

The 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards - Backstage

Beyonce got SIX awards at last night's Grammys: Song of the Year for “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It),” Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for “Halo,” Best Female R&B Performance for “Single Ladies,” Best Traditional R&B Performance for “At Last,” Best R&B Song for “Single Ladies” and Best Contemporary R&B Album for I Am… Sasha Fierce. Almost more exceptional were her black Versace Atelier leather mini-dress made of cut out leather with a metallic enriched bustier, which she performed in, and the Giorgio Armani PrivĂ© chain metal silver and gold mini-dress encrusted with Swarovski crystals, which she wore in the audience. Both are insane!!

I also loved Fergie's electric blue mini dress- LOVE me some Pucci!

If you're interested in midcentury fashion and design and you haven't seen Tom Ford's A Single Man, I suggest you do. The movie, which stars Colin Firth and Julianne Moore, is based on Christopher Isherwood's novel set in Los Angeles in 1962, and as you can imagine, Ford paints the story on the screen in the most visually appealing way. Not only is the photography beautiful, but the wardrobe and set design are exceptional.
